I read the third edition. Very cool. Although he does spend more time
with technical details that in the end may not be so important. I've
also seen the 'Head First' series of java related books, which is very
interesting. They present the information to you in a easy to digest,
fun package, while not degrading the quality or quantity of the
material. I would definetly check that out as well for future books.
