www.sqlj.org is down since an year (and half, maybe) and around the net
you can still find quotings about the "reference implementation" of SQLJ
precompiler; it seems that these sources are lying here (and only here
....).

When I work with Oracle and DB2 (and, may be i5/iSeries/AS400 and
OS/390) I can use the proprietary implementations of SQLJ but for other
databases ... I had to fall back to jdbc.

May be someone knows where to find a "mirror" of these sources ?
(of course I googled it without any luck).

Best regards and thanks in advance ...

Hi Davide,

AFAIK the reference implementation was made by oracle and they don't support
sqlj anymore. As a conclusion from this situation I don't use sqlj in new
projects. In most cases ORM Frameworks like Hibernate might do the database
access for you.

Ta-dah : "SQLJ is Back!"
http://www.oracle.com/technology/tech/java/sqlj_jdbc/index.html

So my interest on SQLJ for Oracle, DB2 and (with a "generic
implementation") SQL server resurrects ...

Yes, but I've a "big ball of mud" (quoting Brian Foote) to maintain ...

.... and retrofitting with an ORM is simply not possible.

Thank-you very much,

Davide
