I try to make my first "serious" web application so I started with the
NetBeans (which I used in a desktop development) with the Spring framework
and derby database. I choose Spring after I read about its simplicity and
speed. After that, from a curiosity, I tried Sun Java Creator. runing
project on a slower machine is pretty heavy, but visual creating of the web
application is pretty amazing for a beginner like me. I know that NetBeans
waiting for a web visual desinger, but anyway what is your opinion from the
efficienty look: Is it better to study spring framework or JSF and all that
Creator "big" stuff ? I know that someone will wrote that I must choose
technology according to a project I need to finish, but I would like to know
my itinerary,. With which framework, database and other stuff I need to
start my development ?

p.s.
derby is a bundled database in both Sun's IDE's, but I did't find the
database creator in a Studio Creator, only SQL query tool on a existing
database. Which tool then you use for a database creating, if you choose
derby?
