Hi,

I had tried to connect to My Oracle database (7.1) with oracle thin
driver, but failed. I am successfully connected to Oracle 8i with thin
driver already with the same programe. My Oracle7.1 server is in
WindowsNT and client machine is in Win98. I did't installed any oracle
utility in my client, just copied Orawin directory to my client with
oracle.ini file to connect with the server for using oracle forms and it
is working.

I think i have to install OCI and SQL*Net but how can i do i am novice
with oracle7.1 and is there any client side installation in 7.1

Thanks for the help

No you don't. If you have the right parameters for the thin driver URL and
properties, it can connect to any DBMS without any Oracle client stuff.
All you need is the driver zip file.
