Hello
For hours I am trying to install the Enterprise Pack for Netbeans 5.5 on
my ubuntu notebook now, but the installation always fails after the
following messages:
installation command: sudo ./netbeans-ent_pack-5_5-linux.sh
Messages on the terminal:
Initializing InstallShield Wizard........
Extracting Installation Archive.
Afterwards the prompt reappears and there is no installation program
which is executed. Between the two messages above the installation
program is successfully looking for the JVM (the path is set correctly).
The other Netbeans Extensions (Profiler and Visual Web Pack) I could
install without any problems. But these two had a ".bin" extension and
not a ".sh"...
I already searched on Google, Yahoo and Ask.com - but did not find any
solution - besides some other ppl obviously having the same problem.
Therefore I post my problem now on this group.
Thanks a lot for any kind of hint or solution idea!
Regards,
Martin. |

Hello
I could solve the problem in the meantime - the install file was corrupted!
I found out the problem by installing it with
../netbeans-ent_pack-5_5-linux.sh -is:log install.log
So the installation process gets logged in the install.log file...
Perhaps this saves some nerves to other newbies having the same problem...
Regards,
Martin. |
