|
|
Hello all,
(CMP=Container Managed Persistence)
Are these statements bellow true?
1- Entity CMP can not be created pointing to several tables.
(I think this is not true I have seen example on the spec. EJB 2.0
page 157)
2-. CMP can not be used to create readonly EJB that are mapped to
a Database View in a Relational Database.
(I was able to seamlessly create a one CMP mapped to a Database
View using JDeveloper 10g against and Oracle Database, the readonly
EJB can not tell, perhaps some configuration somewhere?).
3-. CMP is of no use for XML data.
(I think this is not true, I would say you could find a JDBC driver
for XML to access XML in a relational way, then you just use that
JDBC driver to point to your XML data from the ).
If all of these statements above are indeed not true I (we) have to be very
careful with published papers making their "case" i.e. "The Case for AOP in
J2EE".
Many thanks in advance,
Best Regards,
Giovanni
