"c = (char) System.in.read();" funziona, ma devo aspettare la pressione del tasto invio (e viene visualizzato quanto ho digitato). KeyListener non aspetta la pressione del tasto invio, ma richiede oggetti gui, e io invece lavoro esclusivamente da finestra DOS. C'è qualcosa che fa al caso mio?
