|
|
Hi.
I need to select an embedded Java db for use in my company's Java
client.
We are looking for a well-supported, JDBC complient, completely
transparent embedded database.
So far, my poking around on the web turned up IBM's CloudScape and
PointBase's embedded as 2 good candidates.
Does anyone here have experience with these products?
Is one of them better than the other?
Is there something better than either of them?
Thanks!

If you don't consider open source as "not-well-supported",
I suppose the following two could also be options for you:
http://mckoi.com/database/
http://hsqldb.sourceforge.net/
Kind regards,
Carl

FirstSQL/J - www.firstsql.com
Will beat any of them on product features, performance, and support. (and
price except HSQL - but I have a complete feature comparison with HSQL if
interested

Rather a sweeping statement. Can you provide some [independent] evidence
to support these claims about features, performance, support, price, etc.?
