I'm invoking the JVM from a C++ program. I get the following error:

JVMJ9VM019E Fatal error: Unable to find and initialize required class
java/lang/Object
JVMJ9VM020I Searched in /opt/ibm/java2-i386-50/jre/lib/vm.jar

JVMJ9VM023I This may indicate that JAVA_HOME is incorrect, or that class
libraries are not installed
JVMJ9VM015W Initialization error for library jclscar_23(14): JVMJ9VM009E
J9VMDllMain failed

which is interesting because java/lang/Object is apparently in vm.jar

Any clue what I'm doing wrong? I'm using g++ 3.4.4 on FC3. The code in
question works fine with Sun's JDK 1.4.2 & 1.5. I've made what
modifications that I think I need to properely load the IBM JVM. Is
there a doc anywhere on what I need to do to dynamically load the JVM,
Since I'm just guessing at this point.

Thanks,

Keith
